Facebook is the Web’s hottest social networking website. With a membership of over 150 million users worldwide, you might just be wondering if the staff at Facebook has time to monitor every single detail on the website.

You might be surprised to know that Facebook employs 700 people to watch over their members. This means that even though not every single detail is scrutinized right away, you can be sure that the system is in place to monitor any violations of the terms of use.

So how do we not get booted out of Facebook?

First of all, check the 'Terms of Service' posted on the site. This is the complete list of rules and regulations expected from every member of the website. This further states that if Facebook finds in anyway that you have abused the TOS, they can suspend and or disable your account.

People rarely read the TOS, so to summarize:
You need to be at least 13 to sign up for an account. Facebook also requires that you provide correct and accurate information that you upload to the site and that you alone are responsible for the security of your page and that you are fully accountable for any action that takes place while using your account.

Facebook also has the right to boot anybody out should they find you in violation. If they find that you are spamming anyone, are uploading content with explicit sexual connotations and other illicit activities Facebook can and will close down your account.

Because of the millions of people who have a Facebook account, security is a must on this site. Facebook let’s you take control of whoever you may want to share your personal information with. Meaning, if your personal information gets stolen on line via Facebook, the website will not be held accountable since personal security depends from user to user. So when on Facebook, protect yourself and be careful about what you want to share to other people.

Facebook has a very detailed version of their TOS available to anybody who wishes to sign on to their social networking website. This TOS covers everything from personal information to security to licenses, limitations of liability and other categories.
