A gun is defined as a muzzled weapon used in projectile firing. Guns are used by people who are bound to protect others (like policemen and soldiers) from the exploiting community. Some use guns to protect themselves but improper handling of a gun can create harm to the person using the gun, those in close proximity, and to the surrounding area.

Hand gun manufacturing constitutes a huge industry worldwide, and many can be found in every state in the US. Hand gun production runs 3 million guns per year making a rough 620,000 pistols, 320,000 revolvers, 1,300,000 rifles and 700,000 shotguns. Of the 700,00 shotguns, about 60,000 machine guns are made, principally for the government. But there are some manufacturers who produce guns illegally. These are the ones being used by rebels and terrorists who are in conflict with the ideals of their government or who just want to spread out chaos in their community and beyond.

There are many different types of guns. They are best described by the type of barrel used, the means of firing, the purpose of the weapon, the caliber, or the commonly accepted name for a particular variation. You may be surprised how readily available guns are in the worldwide market.

Military guns.
Military guns are used by servicemen. They are composed of long guns, personal defense weapons, rifles, submachine guns and Tu Huo Quang.

Machine Guns.
Machine Guns are fully automatic weapons categorized as submachine guns, machine guns and autocannons. Although they are classified as the same, their difference varies as to what kind of ammunition and caliber it uses. Some are intended for pistols and some for rifles.

Auto Cannons.
Auto Cannons are rapid-fire projected weapons. They are mechanically loaded for a faster velocity of fire and use a variety of types of ammunition. Its caliber is often larger that a machine gun but smaller than a field gun.

Artillery Guns.
Artillery Guns are used for military combats. These kinds of weapons are employed for discharging large projectiles adding an extensive firepower to the military force. These guns can impose massive physical casualties in any given area.

Hunting Guns.
Hunting Guns are used in pursuing hunting practices specifically living wild animals. But hunting can be sometimes unlawful, distinguished as poaching which is the trapping and killing of hunted animal specie.

Training Guns.
Guns for training and entertainment are weapons for physical and mental enhancements. These types of guns are used for practicing shooting. Airsoft, being one of the most popular recreation games today uses detailed replicas of different high-powered guns. Airsoft guns uses non-metallic pellets using compress gas or spring-driven piston.

Each Dan Wesson Firearms revolver bears the name of Daniel B. Wesson, who founded Wesson Firearms Co., Inc. in 1968. The great-grandson of D. B.
