The Courage to Teach / What is Courage

Do you envy others who seem to have more courage? Are you ready to be more courageous? What does that word mean to you?

I believe that courage is doing something even though you are afraid; your head may rationalize that the risk is too great, but your heart wins out. You are motivated by a passion you don't understand, and this produces a courageous and exciting energy, an energy that will be responsible for changing the course of your life.

The Courage to Teach / Steps Toward Change

These activities once applied will wake up courage in you. Courageous behavior can be developed only by pushing past fear.

Face the fear.
Facing fear is not the only option to overcome it, but it's the quickest one. Experience being afraid, but act in spite of it. The first time is always the hardest.

Completely master mind power.
Another way to gain courage is to master mind power. This can be done through controlling what thoughts you have in your mind. Instead of allowing chaotic thoughts, you will need to establish some rules in your mind. Allow only positive thoughts to dwell in your mind.

This will take some practice since much of our self-talk we have been rehashing since we were children. However, we can change these patterns. Studies reveal when we do something 21 times consistently that we are developing a new habit. It may take more than 21 times, but practice wholeheartedly and you may surprise yourself.

The Courage to Teach / understand courage...
As you gain a better understanding of fear try to understand what courage means. Courage arises from a person who controls his thinking. As a result, he understands that he is 100% responsible for what shows up in his life. If you learn to control your mind you will understand that there is on need to fear anything.

Do opposite of the status quo.
It is fun to be a rebel. If you don't want to end up like the majority of dissatisfied people, try to be completely different than what you see every day. For example, if you notice the routines that others have developed try to break some of your own routines.

Take a different route to work. Approach a man (or woman) that caught your eye in your neighborhood. Do something that makes your heart race a little, and see how that influences the rest of your day. You may be pleasantly surprised.

The Courage to Teach / be creative...
Creativity = Value = Prosperity =Courage
In other words, if you enjoy doing something, you should do it with as much focus and enthusiasm as you can muster. If you do you are likely to create something of value. Others will take notice because truly inspired work is rare. By being acknowledged in this way you will gain so much confidence and courage that it will shine through no matter what you do.

Be unique.
Many people claim they are bored. Well the truth is if you are bored you are most likely boring. So why not keep this from happening?

Learn something that is out of your comfort zone. If you try it and don't really like it, move on to something else. Experiment with the myriad of choices you have. Once you find something that makes you feel alive, explore the many layers of this activity, and develop your own unique spin on it.

When you open your life up in this way it will bring people and opportunities into your life that you would have only dreamt about.

The Courage to Teach / find new solutions...
When you are stuck in one situation and feel threatened by it, pull yourself away from it for a while. Then go back to it again and ask yourself. 'What are the solutions to this situation that I presently cannot see?'

Keep repeating this until you find another solution. This method really works wonders. You will not understand it until you try it!
