This page is brought to you by your friendly Southern California Fulfillment House, River Plate. We have had the great good fortune to expand our business, so we just moved to a new larger facility. And we are now your Chatsworth Fulfillment and Trucking Facility.

One of the reasons we moved to a larger facility is because our clients are doing so well. And when our clients do well, we do well. Many of our customers have stores online, and we provide the fulfillment services for their inventory - pick and packing, custom assembly, shrink wrap service, and a lot more.

Work Motivation

There are times when it is just so hard to stay focused on the job - when we think about how nice it would be to take a vacation instead. During these times we are easily distracted and not really focused on the work at hand. It can be hard to stay motivated but there are actually a few tricks you can practice to keep the focus and stay motivated even during the most distracting times.

Work Motivation / Just Do It

This is my personal mantra when I don’t feel like doing anything - when even simple tasks like brewing a cup of coffee seem repetitive and boring. I just tell myself to just get up off my chair and just brew the coffee. Doing this helps me reign in my thoughts to what I am supposed to do, effectively stopping whatever daydream I might have been having.

Work Motivation / Have a Plan of Action

When you get up feeling dull and lifeless, make an action plan for the day. List down all the things you need to do and make sure you stick to what you’ve written down. Having an action plan for the day helps you stay on track of tasks and assignments. It helps keep you motivated by helping you eliminate task after task. A plan of action helps you get from point A to point B.

Work Motivation / Do not Procrastinate

Now that you have a plan stick to it by doing it right away. Do not procrastinate. Avoid tasks like checking your personal e-mail, getting endless cups of coffee or just doodling. These are just lame excuses that can hinder you from accomplishing your goals. If you find yourself doing so, simply shake it off and then resume your tasks.

Work Motivation / Rein In

If you find that you are slipping off your plan of action, reign yourself in. But it is important not to beat yourself up, give yourself a break, and then carry on. Motivated or not we are human beings with feelings. If you find your concentration slipping because of outside disturbances, then close your door. A closed door can help you concentrate, which might help productivity.

Work Motivation / Remind Yourself

Giving yourself a personal reminder of why you are motivated to do something is important. If career success motivates you then remind yourself from time to time how it will feel to reach your goal. Allowing these positive feelings to percolate will enhance your morale and make you more productive.

Work Motivation / Push Yourself

Human beings are competitive by nature. We are also very curious creatures. So push yourself and compete with other people in your business in order to gauge yourself. There are times when management may not be able to cater to everybody’s demands so it is important to motivate yourself. Remind yourself from time to time why you are doing your task and create challenges for yourself and your co-workers as well. Pushing and challenging yourself will give you room to grow as a person.

Finally, get some experience and learn all you can. No matter how proficient you are at something, there are always way to expand upon that expertise. Knowledge will always be useful in the future not only as reference but also for your own personal self.
